After graduating from Vanderbilt in 2002, Trevor Landry began his career in the hospitality industry by learning from his father’s extensive experience spanning the past 45 years at the popular Let’s Make a Daiquiri bar in Miami where he learned the art of high-volume bartending and bar management. Prior to becoming the Beverage Director for NL Group, Landry was the General Manager of LIFT Lounge and the Bar Manager and cocktail menu creator for DISH restaurant in Dallas, Texas.
He greatly expanded his cocktail knowledge by completing the National BarSmarts certification in 2012 and passing the exclusive BAR 5 Day Program in New York in 2015. During his career, he earned many accolades for his mixology work, including placing as a Semifinalist in the Star of the Bar contest held at the National Restaurant Association Expo in Chicago, and as a Finalist for the Stoli Art of the Martini Contest held in Ibiza, Spain. Landry has created cocktail menus for many venues around DFW including, both DISH Restaurants, the Front Room at the Lumen Hotel, Dakota’s Steakhouse, Jalisco Norte, Sloane’s Corner, and Tulum.
For the last several years, Landry has focused on helping locally owned Zephyr gin expand throughout parts of the United States as their Director of Brand Development. With a goal to expand in both the on-premise and off-premise markets, Landry concentrated on highlighting classic gin cocktails with a twist to support restaurants’ bar programs throughout the pandemic and to help consumers get the most out of their gin when making a cocktail at home.
As of early 2022, Landry has rejoined NL Group in his previous role of Beverage Director, teaming up with owner Tim McEneny and Chef Ji Kang as the NL Group portfolio of restaurants continues to expand.
